A 25-year-old man of Nadi died instantly after the mini bus he was travelling in collided head on with a car along the Coral Coast last night.
Police have confirmed that the accident occurred as the 32-year-old mini bus driver tried to save a horse which was on the road.
Assistant Police Media Liaison officer Atunaisa Sokomuri had confirmed the mini bus driver while trying to save the horse went into the opposite lane and collided head on with a car which was on its way to Sigatoka from Suva.
The mini bus was returning from Nadi to Suva.
Three other passengers travelling in the mini bus also sustained injuries and have been transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
