Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa has not given a clear indication on whether she will contest the SODELPA Leader’s post next year.
With the change in SODELPA’s constitution, the SODELPA leader’s post will be contested in June 2016.
The usual practice is for the Opposition Leader to continue as party leader until the general election.
However the change will see others within the party also going for the leader’s post.
Fijivillage today questioned Ro Teimumu how she feels about this change knowing that the norm is for the party leader to be the Parliamentary Leader.
We also asked her if she will contest the SODELPA leader’s post next year as there are some suggestions that she will not do this and the people who voted for SODELPA would like to know what is happening in the party.
