The desire to help the less fortunate in Society has led to the opening up of Rishikul Primary to children with special needs.
Head teacher Jowahair Lal said with 15 students with hearing impediments and partial blindness registered in the school, the teachers are going through training to assist these children.
Rishikul Sanatan joins 16 other schools like Marist Brothers High, Nasinu Muslim and Vunimono Primary in assisting the 1,144 special needs children around the country.
The Education Ministry has revealed that the latest school to assist disabled students is a primary school in Vanua Balavu.
