The right subject combination will ensure students obtain the right qualifications to enable them to gain employment or attend tertiary institution.
The Education ministry is calling on form four students to seek advice from the Ministry's Careers Section in Stewart Street to take the right subject for their intended career.
The Ministry statement said that school holidays provides an opportune time for prospective fifth formers to take decisions on their future.
It said in the past, officers at the Careers section have met with students who have not chosen a career path and the worst path is that it gets too late for the students to change their subjects.
Parents have been urged to talk to their children about what career path they will take to decide on which subjects they should take as the decision is too much for a form five student to bear alone.
