All Blacks sevens star Rieko Ioane will get his first start for the Blues in their Super Rugby game against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane on Saturday night.
Ioane, who starred for the All Blacks Sevens earlier this year, starts on the right wing in coach Tana Umaga's only change to his backline.
Rene Ranger has been dropped out of the squad.
Patrick Tuipulotu returns to lock with Stephen Luatua moving back to number eight and Akira Ioane to the bench.
The Blues meet the Reds at 8.40pm Saturday.
