Australian born singer and dancer, Richard Tanumi whose mother hails from Soso, Kadavu is now working with top US singer, Chris Brown.

Tanumi is in Chris Brown’s new music video called Anyway.

The video was released earlier today and already has more than 1 million views on youtube.

Speaking to Fijivillage from LA earlier today, Richard Tanumi said he went to the Chris Brown audition and was shortlisted with around 300 men.

This was narrowed down to 3 people.

Tanumi was one of them and it is his first time working with the Chris Brown camp.

He is also the first person with links to Fiji to work with a US superstar like Chris Brown.

Tanumi says it was awesome to be hand-picked by Chris Brown and the Choreographer Flii.

He confirms that he will also feature in Chris Brown’s next music video, Wrist.   

Tanumi has worked with various artists like X Men star Hugh Jackman and singers, Britney Spears, Fergie and Christina Aguilera.

He also featured in Jason Derulo’s music video ‘Ridin Solo”.

Tanumi performed with Delta Goodrem during the NRL Grand Final   in Australia this year.

He earlier featured in a Bollywood movie called, Hey Baby which starred top actor, Akshay Kumar.

He has now started writing his own music and will be releasing his new album called Lazy Days soon.

Tanumi who was also a former Acrobatic champion in Australia says his main aim is to open up a Performing School in Fiji in the next 5 to 10 years.
