If farmers are to turn to rice farming, provide them with the assistance they need.
Hari Pal Singh Chairman for Rewa Rice Limited said that farmers in Vanualevu have land that is well suited for rice farming and therefore need help.
This follows the advice from the Agriculture Ministry to farmers to grow more rice, as it can be a major source of income and food security in the rural areas. Singh also adds that farmers in Vanua Levu should take advantage of their natural land resource and turn to farming rice.
