Rewa Rice Chairman, Hari Pal Singh said the worldwide shortage in rice is affecting the local market and the demand at times exceeds supply.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Singh said there was a lot of land that suitable for farming rice and which has been left idle, which can be used to meet this demand.
