Canterbury Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Reynolds may find himself in hot water with the NRL match review committee after a bizarre incident in which he appeared to tickle an opponent’s backside.

The 26-year-old brought back memories of former bad boy John Hopoate as the first half wound down in his side’s 22-8 loss to the Canberra Raiders on Monday night.

As opposing playmaker Aidan Sezer fed a scrum, Reynolds leaned in behind him and made the questionable contact.

Reynolds said he was having “a bit of a joke” with a mate when he appeared to tickle the opponent’s backside.
