Defending champions of the Pillay’s Garments Champions league, Rewa has suffered a big setback just hours before the first match.

Solomon’s based stylish mid-fielder, George Lui who has been registered by Rewa for the three day tournament will not be able to make it on time to Fiji.

Lui was supposed to jet in the country this afternoon, however there are no seats available in this afternoons flight from the Solomons.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Football Association will hold a special meeting this afternoon to sort out transfer disputes.

The most anticipated one involved striker Jone Sala-une-une who wants to play for Ba from today but a decision on his release is still pending.

Meawnhile, Apisalome Turuva will only be allowed to play for Suva if Suva soccer makes a payment to Labasa soccer for his clearance.

Labasa player, Ilaitia Tuilau has also applied for his release but his new team will have to pay Labasa soccer a sum of $13,000.

In the Champions league this afternoon, Suva will take on Ba at 5pm followed by the Rewa and Labasa match at 7pm.
