The Rewa soccer team is living up to their promise in the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants as the team to beat after thumping Tavua 5-2 in their second pool game.
Last Sunday it was the delta tigers that upset defending champion Ba 2-1 and again this afternoon they proved too strong for Tavua.
Rewa now leads Pool 1 with 6 points from 2 games, Labasa is in second place with 4 points after 2 games, Navua has 2 points while defending champions Ba has 1 point.
In Pool 2 the Nadroga soccer team kept their chances alive with a 3-nil win against Nasinu in their 3rd pool game. The Stallions after holding the highly fancied Lautoka team to a nil all draw last night proved too strong for Nasinu.
Striker Samuela Drudru now is the leading goal scorer in the BOG with 3 goals.
Nadroga now leads Pool 2 with 5 points from 3 games, followed by Lautoka on 4 points from 2 games, Nadi has 3 points from one game.
Results from last night, Nadroga held Lautoka to a nil all draw, Nadi beat Suva 1-nil, Navua and Ba played to a 2 all draw and Labasa defeated Tavua 2-1.
The next match will be at 5pm, Nadi takes on Nasinu, Navua plays Tavua at 6:15, at 7:30 Lautoka take on Suva and in the last match today, defending champions Ba take on Labasa at 8:45pm.
