Rewa Soccer President, Fiayaz Ali has brushed aside allegations that he lost close to $21,000 because of the confusion over the Nigerians soccer players documents that were not sent on time to immigration authorities.
Speaking to Village sports, Ali said that Rewa Soccer did not spend any money, as the sponsors covered all costs for the trio.
Ali adds that they had known before hand that the three Nigerian players were to come in to Fiji for the Inter-district soccer tournament later this month, but the misunderstanding arose because they did not confirm when they were to arrive.
Meanwhile, Ali states that the player who was detained in Nadi has already apologised for the manner in which he acted, as he did so out of frustration.
