The Vanua of Rewa will respect the decision that has been made after the annual Methodist Church Conference scheduled to be held in August this year was cancelled.

Rewa high chief Ro Teimumu Kepa said they have been preparing and fundraising for the last two years, however, the Vanua will respect the decision that has been handed down by the military and police.

Ro Teimumu said there have yet to be notified by the Methodist Church of Fiji and they have been fasting and praying that good sense will prevail if Commodore Frank Bainimarama agrees to the meeting with Church leaders.

The permit to hold the conference was cancelled after the RFMF stated that in the past few months, certain head members of the Methodist Church tried to bring instability to the country by using the church.
