The Rewa soccer team registered its first win in the Champions league after beating Navua 2-1 in a fast paced match at Ratu Cakobau Park last night.
Rewa started the match with mistakes and this cost the Delta Tigers when Navua defender, Lorima Dau opened the score sheet.
The Delta Tigers came back a goal from Archie Watkins and later it was Solomons import, George Lui who got the winner for Rewa.
Rewa coach, Marika Rodu said his boys improved their performance in the second half which gave them the win.
Navua’s Technical Advisor, Usenio Logivou stressed that Navua has lost some key players this season which is giving him some problems.
Meanwhile, in another Champions league match last night, Ba and Lautoka drew 0-0.
In the next round of Champions league this Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park, Lautoka will play Navua at 2pm and Ba will take on Rewa at 4pm.
