Rewa soccer officials and a player have been disciplined by Fiji Football Association for trying to assault a referee during the National soccer league match when they lost 1-2 to Vodafone Ba early last month.

Team coach Kamal Swamy is fined $1,000 and banned from sitting on the reserve bench for 3 games and also received 2 years suspended sentence.

Team director Vishwa Nair is fined $1,000 while player Jesoni Takala was also fined $1,000 and suspended for 1 district match.

Fiji FA president Doctor Samsud Dean Sahu Khan said such behaviours from officials will not be condoned and harsher punishment will be given to officials and players if they try to hassle any match officials in future.
