Labasa taught the Champions of Fiji soccer Rewa a good lesson at their home ground last night with a thumping 5-0 win in the National Soccer League competition.

Labasa overpowered the Delta Tigers in all aspects of the game and under the guidance of new coach Gurjeet Singh the Babasiga Lions looked a side that will cause a lot of problems to all teams in the Courts IDC.

Striker Maciu Dunadamu scored twice last night and also putting their names on the score sheet were Taione Kerevanua, Ilisoni Logaivou and Ajesh Narayan.

The win puts Labasa second on the National Soccer League point’s table with 39 points after playing 16 matches.

Ba still tops the table with 40 points also after playing 16 matches.

This huge margin loss will surely not go well for Rewa as they are in serious problems and the major task ahead is to defend the Courts IDC which kicks off next Thursday.

Rewa will today host Tavua at 6pm in another National soccer league match.
