Vodafone Fiji Fact defending champions Rewa is still confident of retaining the title despite losing their first pool match against Lautoka yesterday.
Lautoka defeated the Delta Tigers one-nil.
Media Officer, Yogeshwar Singh said they played well however they missed a number of goal scoring opportunities.
Rewa’s Apisai Smith will have to miss the match against Suva this Thursday after he was shown double yellow cards and was sent off.
Rewa has to win remaining three matches to book a place in the semi finals.
Meanwhile, Nadi’s Ilimotama Jese will also miss the next match after he was also sent off in the game against Suva.
Looking at the results from yesterday, Nadroga defeated Tavua one-nil, Suva and Nadi were locked one all, Ba-Navua played to a one-all draw and Lautoka defeated Rewa one-nil.
The tournament will kickoff at Ratu Cakobau Park this Thursday.
