Police took a 55 year old shop owner of Rewa Street into custody last night after he was allegedly found with a large amount of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and some stolen items.
Assistant police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed a team of police officers raided the shop last night and confiscated 200 rolls of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and six cartons of beer which is believed to be stolen.
The dried leaves have been sent to the Koronivia Research Station and the shop owner is expected to be charged soon.
