Rewa High Chief Ro Teimumu Kepa appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning, and pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to effect an unlawful purpose namely the disobedience of lawful order.

Defense Counsel Sevuloni Valenitabua told the court that they have received disclosures, and has asked the Magistrates Court to set a hearing date.

The hearing date has been set for the 28th, 29th and 30th of September.

DPP counsel Nanise Ratakele told the court that one more disclosure is left to be filed which is a footage from Fiji One which they are awaiting consent from Fiji One before filing this afternoon.

The Magistrate has ruled that Ro Teimumu is to reappear on the 19th of August, when the two counsels will have to review all the disclosures.

It is alleged that last year between July 12th and July 29th, Ro Teimumu conspired with Methodist Church Ministers to host the annual Methodist conference in Lomanikoro in Rewa even though a directive was given by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama not to hold the conference.
