Rewa High Chief, Ro Filipe Tuisawau is not surprised by the statement made by the Great Council of Chiefs Task Force Chairman, Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo that they already have names of chiefs from the 7 provinces who do not support the GCC Review, even if their province continues with their current stand.

Speaking to Fijivillage News, Ro Filipe said this has been the style of leadership the interim government has, where the views of those who oppose the GCC Review will not be taken into account.

While he is concerned that these can lead to a split within the provinces who do not want to submit their GCC nominees, Ro Filipe hopes the interim regime will look at this issue seriously and will not rush into making decisions.

The GCC Review Task team have confirmed 5 provinces have given in the names of their chiefs for the new look GCC.
