Following a series of losses, bottom placed Rewa faces relegation to the B Division.
Almost a year after it was promoted to major division, Rewa with 10 losses out of 11 games may find them back in the B Division competition next year, after finishing last in the Digicel Cup 2008 standings.
The team's only claim to fame was when they drew with Lautoka 10 al in the opening match of the Digicel Cup this season. Rewa will take on the winner of the B Division competition in the relegation playoffs scheduled for 27th September.
Meanwhile, four teams in Nadroga, Nadi, Suva and Tailevu have confirmed their places in the Digicel Cup semifinal. The order of the matches however will depend on the outcome of the Digicel Cup round 1 postponed match between Tailevu and Nadi that will be played at Prince Charles Park on 6th September.
Results from yesterday's games, Nadi beat Namosi 29-8, Naitasiri edged Navosa 11-10, Northland beat Tavua 34-18, Tailevu beat Ovalau 29-17 and Suva thrashed Rewa 37-8.
