The Rewa soccer association is hopeful that its player, Iosefo Verevou will be cleared from district level suspension and will play for Rewa in the Courts IDC.
The Fiji Football Association suspended Verevou from all levels of soccer for three years and also fined him $5,000 for breaking camp during a tour in New Zealand with the Fiji Under 20 soccer team earlier this year.
Rewa soccer President, Nazeel Buksh says they have taken the matter to arbitration and are asking Fiji FA to lift the suspension on Verevou from district level.
Buksh said they have invested a lot of money on Verevou since he was 14 years old and now the team cannot utilise him when he is playing top level soccer.
The Arbitration will hear Rewa’s case this Thursday and a decision is expected soon after.
Rewa will play Nadroga at 4pm this Saturday at Prince Charles Park in its first match of the Courts IDC.
