The Kriz Signs/NZ OTC Rewa soccer team has defended the inclusion of overseas based players in their line-up for the Courts Homecentres IDC.
President Praneel Singh said they brought in the services of 5 overseas based players to strengthen some positions in the team which were weak.
Singh said the likes of Marika Rodu and Alvin Prakash will not be playing for Rewa but he is confident they will reach the semifinal on Sunday.
Also, the Delta Tigers received a timely boost to their IDC campaign, with NZ based Waisake Sabutu travelling with the team to Ba today while Stewart Bola is expected to come in this afternoon.
Rewa is on bye tomorrow and will face Nadroga on Friday morning at 9.30am in their opening pool game.
