Rewa Dairy Corporative has completed the recall of blue packets of Rewa Life liquid milk which were non compliant with the stated volume on the packages.

CEO Savenaca Seniloli confirmed that they had encountered a small volume of under filled Rewa Dairy Life Blue packets which involved around 250 packets which was 0.13% of the batch.

Seniloli said the Rewa Dairy staff over the past couple of days surveyed the outlets and had removed the packets within the batch code.

The Blue packet of Rewa Life milk is packaged by Fonterra in New Zealand and Seniloli said the problem on the filling line was fixed.

And to avoid such incidents in the future, Seniloli said Rewa Dairy has an additional screening process where they are weighing trays of UHT milk before it is palletized ready for trade.

He said as per their policy, Rewa Dairy is more than happy to compensate any consumers and customers that feel they have been short changed and the contact is on the packets.

Rewa Dairy initiated the recall last Thursday after discovering that the 250 packets in question did not contain one liter of milk as stated on the milk cartons.
