FPSA Industrial Relations Advisor Nirbhay Singh says such a review will be unnecessary as the Employment Relations Bill is expected to be brought in later this year.

When contacted on the matter this afternoon, Interim Labour Minister Bernadette Ganilau said all she can say is that the ER Bill should address any concerns which people have with the Trade disputes act.

Bune called for a review of the Act after he coined the plans by the FTA to lift the strike once the school holidays were brought forward and relodge their strike notice once school commences as an abuse of the process. He also said that those who do this, should be penalized heavily.

Meanwhile, Interim Labour Minister Bernadette Ganilau confirms that no directive has been given to the Registra of Trade Unions not to accept any further disputes.
