The Fiji Trade Union Congress (FTUC) has asked the government to review the accident compensation scheme of personal safety at work place.
As the 42nd Biennial Fiji Trade Union Congress meeting came to an end in Nadi yesterday, a number of resolutions were reached and one of them was the accident compensation scheme.
Assistant National Secretary Rajeshwar Singh said compensation cases take years to fight in the court and there is a need to look at it.
Singh told Fijivillage that one of the resolutions was media freedom and which they supported and which they believe will help towards democratic processes.
