The people of Kadavu living in the cities and towns were told to go back to the village and utilise their piece of land.

Those were the words of Chairman of the Kadavu Provincial Council, Ratu Varani Rayawa.

Rawaya pleaded to all the men from Kadavu who do not have a secured employment should go back to the land of their forefathers and use up the land to plant and the fishing ground to fish for the families.

He told them it is a concern that if there is no money, people are liable to steal and ends up in court.

He highlighted that one example of a true Kadavu man is Alexander Naisoro who is well educated, yet he went back to his village to utilise his land and capabilities.

Meanwhile, Kadavu House in downtown Suva will officially be opened today.
