A retired Supreme Court Judge Sir Moti Tikaram has been awarded the prestigious "Sardar Vallabhai Patel Award" by the Indian government in New Delhi India.
This award recognizes hardworking people of Indian Origin who have contributed a lot to the development in their fields.
Sir Moti Tikaram's awards was received by Fiji High Commissioner to India Savenaca Kaunisela who thanked the Sardar Vallabhai Foundation for continuing to recognize Fiji citizens for the sacrifices and contribution they have rendered to the development of Fiji.
Kaunisela said Sir Moti Tikaram is a living example of many hard working people of Indian origin in Fiji.
Sir Moti Tikaram is also a former Ombudsman and retired President of the Fiji Court of Appeal.
