Fiji's Ambassador to China is calling on his fellow Kadavu people to rethink their stand on the Draft People's Charter.
Sir James Ah Koy said although he cannot comment on the stand taken by the Kadavu Provincial Council to reject the Charter, he is however asking the people to think things through thoroughly before making their decisions.
Ah Koy said he respects the decision taken by the Council and said one of the issues highlighted on common name for all should be implemented as the days of racial segregation are over.
Village consultations in Kadavu are expected to be completed this week.
