The news just keeps getting better for Chiefs fans.

On the back of their fifth win from six starts this season, Chiefs and All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick has committed himself to the reigning Super Rugby champions and the New Zealand Rugby Union for the next two years.

The 21 year old, who played 13 tests in his rookie year for the All Blacks last year, is keen to remain with a franchise that has "good structures, great people and a culture that has really encouraged his game to develop".

Retallick also joins Crusaders prop Wyatt Crockett in committing to the NZRU until after the 2015 World Cup.

The Chiefs are on a bye this week.

Meanwhile in this Friday's matches, the Blues meet the Highlanders at 6:35pm and at 8:40pm the Brumbies host the Kings.
