The Public Service Commission is working towards reducing the size of the civil service by ten percent by end of this year.
However, Chairman Rishi Ram maintains the restructure of the civil service will not result in job losses and they are looking into at other measures to reduce costs.
Meanwhile, Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama believes that the interim government can reduce public expenditure and he will ensure that the size of the civil service is reduced.
