One of the main concerns for the Fijian Teachers Association come the National Budget 2008 announcement on Friday is the restoration of the 5% pay cut.
FTA President Tevita Koroi said the pay cut is one of the many priorities that need to be addressed.
The Public Employees Union General Secretary, Pita Delana has similar sentiments saying that their main hope right now is that the budget provides for the restoration of the other 4% of their pay cut.
The National Budget 2008 will be announced on Friday by the Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry at the Tradewinds Convention Centre in Lami.
