The hard lessons learnt from past experiences ensured the resorts and hotels in Taveuni are back in operation from this week.
Speaking to Fijivillage news, Allan from Tovutovu Resort in Matei said while business is still slow, tourists are returning to their shores.
Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto said the hotel operators are glad that the government agencies worked hard to ensure the airports and roads were opened quickly after cyclone Tomas which has enabled them to resume business as usual.
