Lucky to escape major damages by Tropical Cyclone Mick, Viwa Island Resort in the Yasawas has come to the rescue of some smaller resort operators who have been forced to close down after sustaining damages.
Viwa Islands Resort General Manager Michel Downing said despite the cyclone, they are 80 percent full as tourists have chosen their resort to spend their Christmas holidays.
Downing added they have a special day planned for their guests on Christmas day.
