Mana Island Resort, a well known island resort in the Mamanuca Group which is lying in the path of Cyclone Daman, is prepared for the cyclone.
However, Operations Manager for the resort Ileisa Tiko said that at the moment they are only experiencing slight winds.
Tiko said that tourists and people travelling to the island later in the day need to take precautions as the Mamanuca group is expected to feel the direct effect of the cyclone at 6 o’clock tonight.
It has started raining slightly in the Yasawas and a staff of Botaira Island Resort, Newa said that they have not felt the effect of the cyclone as yet.
Meanwhile, staff of the Barefoot lodge in the Yasawas say they keeping a close watch on the weather.
