The Beachcomber Island Resort and Cruises is fully booked for the next three weeks as we approach the Christmas holidays.

Resort's sales manager Nemia Marama confirmed they are expecting a big group of school children from around Australia who will fill up the hotel rooms.

Marama said apart from their normal family bookings, the Resort's forecast for December is looking good starting this week until the 20th of this month.

With the 100 percent bookings, Marama added there will be no special discounts for the locals.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Palms Beach Club and Resort Limited has expanded the size of the Resort from 14 to 26 two bedroom self contained apartments.

Chairman of the Pacific Harbour Tourism Association Jim Sherlock said this demonstrates that investors still have faith that tourism is the most productive method of stimulating the Fijian economy.
