Residents of Balevuto in Ba are calling on the Public Works Department to quickly repair the Balevuto bridge which was partly washed away by flash flooding yesterday.
A resident, Anil Kumar Sharma said many people have to walk for over two kilometers to get transportation to go to town and back home as the bridge is closed to all traffic.
Sharma said the bridge was washed away for the third time yesterday as PWD workers only used loose stones on both sides of the bridge instead of sealing it with concrete.
PWD is yet to comment.
