All those who live in Tovata, high areas of Makoi, Caubati and Cunningham along Valelevu, Newtown, Naveiwakau, Tacirua East will have their water restored this evening as water supply has been cut from 10.30 this morning.
This has been confirmed by Water Supply spokesperson Maika Nagalu.
Meanwhile, close to a thousand residents in Nasau in Nadi are now turning to the rivers and streams as a source of drinking water after sudden water cuts late Saturday.
Resident Ranita Devi said that their Diwali was spoilt as there was no water at all in their pipes and still there is no response from the Water Supply Department.
The Water Supply Department will comment later on this particular issue.
