Residents still without water, electricity
Tailevu Hotel officials in Korovou say they have been using diesel generators for the past one week as they have guests to look after adding this is costing them alot of money.
Meanwhile, residents in some parts of Tavua and Vatukoula had to celebrate Christmas yesterday without power supply.
Qalelea resident Manoj Chand asks why it is taking the Fiji Electricity Authority long to restore power supply in their area adding close to 20 houses with 80 people have been living without power supply since last Monday.
He adds they were promised that power supply would be back on on Wednesday but have now being told it would return next month.
FEA, CEO Hasmukh Patel had said earlier that it may take close to a month to fully restore power supply in all areas.
Meanwhile, the Water Supply Department is still cannot say by when all areas will have normal water supply.
None of the water officials could be contacted today by Fijivillage News.
Some residents of Tamavua in Suva did not have water supply last night however it was restored this morning.
