Residents in Navua are now trying to get on with their lives following Tropical Cyclone Mick.
A Suva businesswoman Sangeeta Reddy who headed down to the town this morning to check up on her family members said that residents are still trying to come to terms with the devastation.
Reddy added that people are now turning to other means to get water as there is currently no water and power in Navua.
However, the situation is worsening in Koronivia, Toga, Lokia and Nakaikogo Nausori.
Our reporter Dhanjay Deo said floodwaters rose in Toga Village in the last hour adding that farmers have been affected the most.
He also said people are now waiting for assistance.
There are also reports of flooding in Lomanikoro, Nukutubu and Nabuli.
Following the devastating floods in January this year, business houses and shop owners in Nadi Town were well prepared to face the worst this time.
Nadi Chamber of Commerce President Dr Ram Raju said reports so far indicate that damages to the businesses and shops such as infrastructure and goods were minimum.
However, he said they cannot ascertain a figure yet.
He also said Nadi town remains closed.
