People living in low-lying areas are advised to brace themselves for flash flooding as a Tropical Depression is still located to the west of Nadi.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for whole of the Fiji group.
Nadi Weather office Director, Alipate Waqaicelua said yesterday there were two Tropical Depressions affecting the group however one has weakened and dissolved in the current Tropical Depression.
At 10am today the centre of the Tropical Depression was located 110km west of Nadi and is moving east-northeast at 5 kilometers per hour.
He said a lot of rain is still expected for whole of Fiji.
Waqaicelua said the forecast is for this Tropical Depression to develop into a Tropical Cyclone by the weekend however by that time it will be moving away from the group.
A strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and northern Lau group.
Strong northwest winds with average speed of 35 kilometers per hour to 45 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 70 kilometers per hour.
Seas expected to be rough to very rough.
