Residents living around Koroqaqa and Baulevu area are hoping for rainfall so that the silts are washed away.
Koroqaqa resident, Vijay Nath said flood waters have receded and broken power lines can be seen on the roads.
He also said that farmers have been badly affected.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Pehnawa, Pritesh Khatri who operates his business in Nausori said flood waters did not reach Nausori town, however the houses sustained damages due to the strong winds.
