Residents frustrated without water
Concerns have been raised that the Water Supply Department insists that only residents living in high areas of Delainavesi do not have water however some residents in lowlying areas of Lami said they too do not have normal water supply and there is no carting of water.
Water department Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said they are working on normalising water supply in Lami as arrangements have been made for water trucks to cart water in these areas.
Meanwhile, a resident of Tuirara in Makoi Nasinu Jyoti Raj also raised concern that water disruptions are leading to many problems in their area.
Nagalu said it is not clear yet how soon they will be able to restore water in these areas.
