In the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Mick, water supply in several areas has been affected while supply to some areas is currently being monitored.
Works Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said this is due to no power supply for the Savura and Waila pumping stations.
Waqainabete said water supply has been disrupted in the greater Suva area, Tamavua, Namadi Heights, certain parts of Mead Rd, Laucala Beach, towards Nasinu, Tailevu and parts of Nausori.
Waqainabete said water supply in the North and Western Division will be monitored and if water supplied is dirty then they may consider a planned water shutdown.
She said engineers are trying to get water supply operations to return to normal if not by midday today then by tonight.
Waiqanebete said water trucks will be sent out only if they have been given the all clear by the roads engineers.
