Residents living in Suva and parts of Nasinu are currently facing power disruptions.

FEA has confirmed that the shutdown occurred after 3pm today after feeders in Samabula stripped causing power disruptions in Tamavua-i-wai, Tamavua, Savura Pumping Station, Namadi Heights, Nabua, Queen Elizabeth Barracks and Samabula.

However after sometime feeders in Kinoya also tripped and parts of Kinoya and nearby areas are currently without power.

According to FEA, engineers are trying to fix the problem before it gets dark however no timeframe is been given by when electricity will be back on.

Meanwhile, residents in the affected areas have been advised to collect enough water as pumps at the pumping stations have also been affected which could cause water cuts in greater Suva and Nasinu areas.
