Residents living in Labasa have raised concern on the visiting hours at the Labasa Hospital.
A resident, Radhika, said visiting hours at the Labasa hospital is only between 11am to 12pm on the weekdays and those people who are working cannot visit their loved ones admitted at the hospital during this time.
She also said that people travel from faraway places to visit the sick ones at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Health Ministry spokesperson Iliesa Tora said this is part of the step the ministry has taken following the outsourcing of the security services to two private security companies which will not allow people in and out of the official hours.
He also said that people can contact the medical superintendents.
The visiting hours at the Labasa Hospital from Monday to Friday is between 11am to 12pm except for the maternity and children's ward while on the weekends and public holidays the visiting hours is from 11am to 12pm and 3pm to 5pm.
