Residents in Wailoku, Delainavesi, Lami, Togalevu, Veisari, Samabula North and areas along Princes Road starting from the junction at Mead Road down to the junction at Ratu Mara Road at the Fiji National University including Nauluvatu, Namadi Heights and Mead Road are being asked to store water now.
The Water Authority of Fiji said this is due to low raw water inflows into Tamavua Treatment Plant as a result of the dry weather conditions.
The Authority said that as a result they are asking people to use alternative sources of water to wash drive ways, watering their garden and washing vehicle.
Water tanks will be placed at strategic locations along Delainavesi, Lami and Veisari to cart water to affected areas.
