The Water Authority of Fiji has advised residents in Tuirara, Tovata, Upper Makoi, Naveiwakau, Valelevu, New Town, Upper Caubati, Khalsa Road, Tacirua Heights, Cunningham and Tacirua East to store water now if water is still in their taps.

According to the Authority, water supply has been disrupted because of an electricity problem to their raw water pumps in the Waila Treatment plant yesterday afternoon.

This has caused a low water levels at the Wainibuku Reservoir.

The Authority said FEA will be working along the Wainibuku areas from 8am to 4pm today and water may normalize later.

Meanwhile, a power blackout this morning in Deuba will see residents not receiving water.

Spokesperson, Maika Nagalu said it is not clear by when water will normalise.
