Residents in Waqadra, Nadi, are furious at the persistent water cuts faced in the area and one resident said they are willing to find their own water sources if the Public Water Department admits it is failing in its responsibilities.
Waqadra resident Riaz Ali told Fijivillage that for the last year and half, the authorities continue to make excuses for the water problems in the area and they can no longer sit back and do nothing about it.
When contacted, Senior Water Engineer Western Samuela Tubui said there are some high areas in Waqadra.
However, he refused to comment further and said they will go out and verify these claims with the Waqadra residents.
