Meanwhile, Divisional Water Engineer Central Eastern Serei-co-coko Yanu-yanu-rua said production of water at this point in time cannot meet the increasing demand.
Yanu-yanu-rua confirms 60 mega litres of water is needed daily in the reservoir to cater for everyone however the Water Supply Department is short this amount by 10 mega litres having only 50 mega litres in storage therefore resulting in the water shortage and water cuts experienced in alot of areas. He adds a lot of rainfall is needed to help increase the water levels at the various catchments to cater for everyone.
